About the Opportunity:
This contract opportunity seeks a CT Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging services to patients. This part-time role involves confirming patient identity, coordinating with physicians, preparing patients for scans, inserting IVs, positioning patients, maintaining accurate records, and keeping the scanning facility clean and safe. The estimated base pay for this position is $67.65 to $79.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducts patient identity confirmation and exam verification prior to scans
- Coordinates with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
- Prepares patients for scans and explains procedures to ensure comfort
- Inserts IVs when necessary
- Positions patients, including those with limited mobility, using safe patient handling practices
- Maintains accurate patient records within the EPIC system and ensures accurate image transfer to PACS
- Maintains a clean and safe scanning facility
Job Requirements:
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- NYS licensure (must obtain prior to position start)
- Two years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred
