About the Opportunity:
The Cath Lab Technologist plays a vital role in assisting with invasive cardiac procedures as part of the Cardiac Cath/EP Lab team. This full-time contract position involves preparing the procedure room and sterile field, setting up sterile supplies and equipment, and anticipating equipment needs during procedures. The technologist operates equipment, maintains sterile instruments, and functions in various roles, including scrub, circulator, and documenter/monitor. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to meet NYS requirements as a Radiologic Technologist (RCIS) or be grandfathered into Public Health law 2824.
The estimated base pay for this position is $63.25 to $74.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare the procedure room and sterile field for cardiac procedures.
- Set up and operate equipment and maintain sterile instruments.
- Function in multiple roles during procedures, including scrub, circulator, and documenter/monitor.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Utilize critical care and cardiac experience in procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Radiologic Technologist (RCIS) certification or eligibility under NYS Public Health law 2824.
- 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification through CCI or ARRT preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Mechanical Circulatory Support experience with ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo.
- Structural Heart experience with TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, PFO, ASD, VSD, Valvuloplasty.
- Full COVID vaccine series completion.
