About the Opportunity:
As a CT Technologist in this part-time contract position, you play a crucial role in providing diagnostic imaging services to patients. Responsibilities include confirming patient identity and exam verification, coordinating with physicians, prepping patients, inserting IVs, positioning patients, and maintaining accurate patient records. You also maintain a clean and safe scanning environment.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $63.25 to $74.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient identity confirmation and exam verification.
- Provide diagnostic imaging by coordinating with physicians.
- Prepare and inform patients about scan procedures.
- Insert IVs when necessary.
- Position patients, ensuring safe handling practice.
- Maintain accurate records within EPIC and ensure correct image transmission to PACS system.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of the scanning facility.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- NYS Radiologic Technologist licensure prior to starting the position.
- Two years of CT experience.
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
