About the Opportunity:
CT Technologists use computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues. This part-time contract position requires interpreting physician scanning instructions, administering contrast materials, operating CT scan equipment, and positioning patients for accurate imaging. Proper safety procedures are essential to prevent harm from radiation.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $60.50 to $71.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and operate CT scan equipment to create accurate images.
- Administer contrast materials safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress during procedures.
- Stay informed on advancements and practices within radiologic technology.
Job Requirements:
- High School graduate with radiologic technology education from an A.M.A approved school.
- Licensed in NYS as a radiologic technologist.
- Advanced certification as a CT technologist and current ARRT certification.
- Certification by NYS for contrast injections.
- Minimum two years of related experience.
