About the Opportunity:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to individuals in a correctional facility setting. Address medical and health-related issues, ensuring proper management and care of patients. This is a part-time contract position with evening shifts. Work every other weekend to offer consistent care and support in maintaining patient health and safety. Patient and workplace safety protocols are strictly enforced. Smart watches and cell phones are not permitted within the secure perimeter of the jail. Loved ones can reach you via phone at your work station.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $39.60 to $46.80 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for inmate patients.
- Provide ongoing healthcare and patient education.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and medical status.
- Stay informed on correctional healthcare practices and protocols.
Job Requirements:
- Current RN license.
- Minimum one year of experience in a correctional or similar setting preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and work in a secure environment.
