About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing to help guide clinical operations within our client’s dynamic women’s and children’s services unit in Brooklyn. This leadership role is ideal for an RN who is passionate about advancing patient care, mentoring nursing teams, and supporting high-quality outcomes for mothers, newborns, and families.
The annual base salary range is $140,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time, Day Shift (Monday – Friday, standard business hours)
- Annual Salary: $140k-$150k (varies depending on years of experience)
Job Responsibilities
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of nursing staff
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional growth opportunities
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture
- Assist in managing daily nursing operations within maternal and child health services
- Help implement and maintain care standards, policies, and clinical protocols
- Ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care delivery
- Promote adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational policies
- Support risk management initiatives and patient safety efforts
- Monitor clinical practices to ensure alignment with best practices
- Contribute to budgeting and resource planning, including staffing and supplies
- Assist in developing unit goals, performance metrics, and improvement strategies
- Partner with leadership to enhance patient care programs and services
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- One of the following:
- Master’s degree in Nursing (Administration, Education, or Clinical Specialty) with 5+ years of experience, including leadership experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) with 6+ years of experience, including supervisory or teaching experience
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of maternal-child health nursing practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered, family-focused care
