About the Opportunity:
The Cardiac OR Registered Nurse plays a vital role in the provision of care for patients undergoing complex cardiac procedures, including CABGs, TAVIs, and heart transplants. This full-time contract position requires the nurse to independently scrub and circulate in the Cardiac Operating Room, caring for patients with a range of cardiac conditions, using a multidisciplinary approach.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $61.60 to $72.80 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex adult cardiac case procedures including CABGs, structural heart cases, and minimally invasive procedures.
- Provide care for heart failure cases including Impella and transplant procedures.
- Collaborate with various healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and document patient progress throughout surgical procedures.
- Stay informed on the latest advancements in cardiac surgical care.
Job Requirements:
- RN License (NY License ONLY).
- Two (2) years of experience in OR settings.
- Operating room experience in a level 1 trauma setting preferred.
- Able to scrub and circulate in complex cardiac cases.
- Telemetry proficiency.
- BLS and ACLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
