About the Opportunity:
The RN, Infusion position focuses on providing specialized infusion services to patients. This full-time contract position involves administering IV immunotherapy, chemotherapy, and supportive medications. The RN also conducts intravesical medication administration and manages IM and SQ injections. Ensuring the care and management of ports and accessing/managing ports are essential duties. Candidates must handle patients with solid tumors and those requiring non-oncology treatments such as those with neurologic disorders, rheumatology, dermatology, and more. The estimated base pay for these positions is $51.70 to $61.10 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive infusion assessments and create tailored care plans.
- Administer chemotherapy and IV immunotherapy, along with supportive medications.
- Collaborate with oncology and non-oncology healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately and consistently.
- Recognize and manage side effects associated with various treatments.
Job Requirements:
- Possess CA RN License, AHA BLS, and CHEMO (ONS/ONCC) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Infusion Center setting.
- Preferred certification in OCN and experience in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Proficiency in accessing/managing ports, infusion pump management, and starting/maintaining IVs.
- Experience with the Epic charting system.
