About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-regarded financial services firm, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate to join their dedicated team in New York City. This individual will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate processing of invoices and purchase orders, confidentially handling sensitive information, and supporting seamless bookkeeping operations.
The Accounts Payable Associate will ensure proper tracking, payment, and delivery of purchase orders, assist in vendor negotiations to drive meaningful cost savings, and help standardize payment terms and supplier credit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, and expertly prioritize tasks to adapt to shifting demands and timelines. With a commitment to accuracy and professionalism, this team member will contribute to the firm’s operational excellence and high standards. This position follows a hybrid schedule.
The annual base salary range is $75,000 to $95,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Handle confidential information with discretion and accuracy
- Processed invoices, purchase orders, and basic bookkeeping tasks
- Ensure proper tracking, payment, and delivery of purchase orders and purchases
- Drive significant cost savings by assisting in vendor negotiations
- Drive standardization across payment terms and supplier credit
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in AP
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience working at a family office is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills, a team focus, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks conforming to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
