About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-regarded non-profit in Manhattan, is seeking a knowledgeable and highly organized Leaves & Benefits Specialist for a role focused on leave of absence administration. This professional will play a critical role in handling all aspects of leave documentation and processing for STD, LTD, FMLA, PLA, and other related programs. They will contribute to delivering a smooth employee experience and support the execution of the firm’s benefits initiatives.
The Leaves & Benefits Specialist will be responsible for creating and maintaining process documentation for benefit-related workflows, assisting with the open enrollment cycle, managing plan renewals, and coordinating updates within Workday and with third-party vendors. This role requires responding to benefits inquiries from global employees, supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, and participating in the planning and research of new benefits projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong experience in benefits administration and leave of absence processing, bring professionalism and collaboration to the team, and maintain exceptional attention to detail. This position follows a hybrid schedule.
The annual base salary range is $80,000 to $100,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate in managing benefit programs to ensure smooth execution and an exceptional employee experience
- Handle all Leaves of Absence documentation and processing (STD, LTD, FMLA, PLA, etc.)
- Create and maintain process documentation for all benefit-related workflows
- Contribute to the planning, research, and execution of new benefits-related projects
- Assist with open enrollment process, plan renewals, and related system updates
- Respond to benefits-related inquiries from global employees, delivering accurate and timely information
- Support the benefits aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding to ensure a seamless experience
- Manage employee benefit enrollments, terminations, and changes with accuracy in Workday and among third-party vendors
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of benefits experience
- 3+ years of experience specifically in processing Leaves of Absences (LOAs)
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience working at a Financial, Technology, or Fintech firm
- Workday experience is a plus
- Global experience is a plus
