About the Opportunity:
We have an opportunity for a Physician specializing in hematology and oncology to provide patient care services. This full-time contract position requires inpatient rounding and clinic duties from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role involves seeing adult patients, with a volume of approximately 10-12 patients per day in the clinic and around 8-10 per day for inpatient rounding. Support staff in the clinic includes Medical Assistants and Registered Nurses. The Physician uses Oracle/Cerner for documentation and engages in malignant hematology and bone marrow transplants (TCT), preferably with comfort handling transplants.
The estimated base pay for this position is $385.00 to $455.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for hematology and oncology patients.
- Provide therapy and education related to malignant hematology/bone marrow transplants.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using Oracle/Cerner.
- Stay informed on advancements in hematology and oncology practice.
Job Requirements:
- Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology (BC in Hem/Onc).
- Tennessee medical license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current flu vaccine required.
- Clean background with name clear and active NPI.
