About the Opportunity:
The Physician Assistant in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting provides specialized care to infants and neonates. The position involves handling high-risk deliveries, intubation, line placement, lumbar puncture, ventilation management, and ECMO support coordination. As part of a dynamic team, the Physician Assistant works to ensure the highest level of care in a hospital environment. This is a part-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for this position is $99.00 to $117.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct neonatal assessments and create appropriate care plans.
- Provide emergency and routine procedures such as intubations, line placements, and lumbar punctures.
- Collaborate with fellows and other healthcare professionals for managing ECMO support.
- Monitor and document patient progress in EPIC EMR system.
- Stay informed on neonatal care protocols and advancements.
Job Requirements:
- Board Certification in Neonatology.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in NICU as neonatal-trained personnel.
- BLS and PALS certifications required (ACLS preferred).
- Experience with high-risk deliveries and level 4 NICU environment.
- Proficiency in using EPIC charting system.
