About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a Pain Management Collections Specialist to join our client’s well-established, multi-location healthcare organization in New Jersey that’s passionate about delivering outstanding patient care.
In this role, you’ll own the accounts receivable process for pain management cases, working closely with providers, insurance companies, and internal teams to maximize reimbursement and keep outstanding balances low. If you enjoy digging into denials, chasing down resolutions, and bringing order to complex billing processes, this could be a great fit.
The annual base salary range is $45,000 to $60,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct consistent follow-up with insurance companies and patients to ensure timely payment
- Investigate and resolve claim denials through appeals, resubmissions, and corrections
- Stay current on billing regulations and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with a supportive, high-performing revenue cycle team
- Manage Out of Network billing processes with confidence
- Navigate multiple payer portals for efficient claims communication
Job Requirements
- Proven experience resolving denied or underpaid medical claims and following up with insurance providers
- Specialized background in Pain Management billing/collections
- Experience with Major Medical Insurance, Workers’ Comp, and Motor Vehicle claims (preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills and sharp attention to detail
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
