About the Opportunity
Take the lead in driving financial performance for our client’s well-established, multi-location orthopedic and sports medicine practice group in Central New Jersey! We’re seeking an experienced Director of Revenue Cycle to oversee the full Business Office function and help maximize cash flow while strengthening patient, physician, and payor relationships.
The annual base salary range is $120,000 to $140,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate all Business Office functions, including registration, billing, collections, and insurance processing
- Prepare and present monthly revenue reports and KPIs (collection rates, denial rates, charge entry lags, wRVU production, and more) to senior leadership
- Manage relationships with third-party billing vendors, including offshore support teams
- Oversee the physician credentialing process with managed care and government payors
- Supervise daily cash processing, reconciliation, and general ledger accuracy
- Directly lead front-end and AR collection teams, guiding daily performance and strategy
- Develop and implement collection policies and resolve escalated billing issues
- Partner with IT to improve business systems and reporting accuracy
- Train, evaluate, and develop Business Office staff
- Maintain compliance with payor, insurance, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in administrative meetings, committees, and special projects as needed
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience
- Proven experience managing offshore/outsourced billing vendor relationships
- Proficiency with patient billing software (eClinicalWorks strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of ICD coding, CPT guidelines, and Microsoft Excel/Power BI
