About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established hospice program in the Bronx, is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join its community-based care team. This role focuses on providing comfort-focused nursing care to patients with advanced illness, while supporting their families through all stages of hospice services. The organization has a long history of serving New York City and the surrounding region with a strong philosophy of dignity, empathy, and non-abandonment.
The annual base salary range is $95,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality palliative and end-of-life nursing care to patients in their homes or designated care settings
- Support patients and families through symptom management, education, and emotional guidance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including social workers, spiritual care professionals, and physicians
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold hospice standards of practice
- Travel throughout assigned service areas as needed
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (or permit) in New York State
- Two or more years of nursing experience in medical-surgical, oncology, palliative care, or community/home care
- At least one year of home health or hospice experience preferred
- Previous hospice experience strongly valued
- Valid NYS driver’s license preferred
