About the Opportunity:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (ED) provides compassionate and comprehensive care to patients experiencing urgent medical conditions, including but not limited to stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. This RN utilizes specialized equipment such as Rapid Infusors and the Arctic Sun to ensure effective treatment across diverse patient populations, ranging from newborns to geriatrics. This is a full-time contract position operating on a 4×12-hour shift schedule.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $53.99 to $63.81 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide emergency care and administer treatments using specialized equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Stay informed on the latest emergency medicine practices and protocols.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications in hand.
- Active NY RN license and additional RN licenses verified.
- Minimum of 2 years of ED experience, with pediatric and travel experience documented.
- Experience with EPIC EMR systems required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
