About the Opportunity:
The Wound and Ostomy RN provides direct and indirect patient care in inpatient care areas. The RN performs systemic collection and assessment of data in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to provide therapeutic care for the patient and family. The RN conducts all required elements of a nursing assessment, functional assessment, and utilization of patient/family-specific assessment. The RN considers safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning and delivering care. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $60.50 to $71.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and create care plans.
- Provide wound and ostomy care and education.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and responses to interventions.
- Stay informed on best practices and advancements in wound and ostomy care.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
- NYS RN License; BCLS required in specialty areas.
- Wound and Ostomy Certification preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and problem-solve.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
