About the Opportunity:
Provide critical care services in the Emergency Department, serving patients with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. In this full-time contract position, work shifts from 14:30 to 03:00, administering required drips and medications, and utilizing specialty equipment such as the rapid infusor and Arctic Sun. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide care for patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics. Navy blue scrubs are required. Floating to other units occurs as needed.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $53.99 to $63.81 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for emergency situations.
- Administer required drips and medications, including pressors, vasodilators, and sedatives.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for effective patient management.
- Monitor and document patient progress through accurate charting.
- Stay informed on current emergency care practices and technologies.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications required.
- Active NY RN license verified by NURSYS.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an Emergency Department with some pediatric experience.
- Documented travel experience in emergency nursing.
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR systems.
