About the Opportunity

Our client, a prestigious financial services firm in Manhattan, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Communications to lead the firm’s global communications efforts. This accomplished leader will have a significant impact on shaping and elevating the firm’s reputation and investment platforms across key markets.

The Director of Communications will design and implement comprehensive strategies to advance business priorities and enhance the firm’s visibility. This individual will oversee media relations and thought leadership campaigns, seeking opportunities to position the firm and its executives on important market topics and industry trends. The role involves partnering closely with senior leaders, investment professionals, legal, compliance, and other internal stakeholders to deliver consistent and effective messaging in a highly regulated environment. This leader will provide guidance on corporate reputation, public affairs, regulatory communications, and high-profile issues.

This position follows a hybrid schedule.

The annual base salary range is $180,000 to $250,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated communications strategies that enhance the firm’s reputation, support business priorities, and elevate key investment platforms across global markets
  • Lead proactive media relations and thought leadership initiatives, identifying opportunities to position the firm and its executives on market trends, investment themes, and industry developments
  • Partner closely with senior leaders, investment professionals, legal, compliance, and other internal stakeholders to deliver strategic communications in a complex, highly regulated environment
  • Create and refine executive messaging and communications materials, including press releases, media statements, briefing documents, talking points, Q&A, and internal communications that ensure consistency and clarity across audiences
  • Provide strategic counsel on corporate reputation, public affairs, regulatory communications, and high-profile issues, helping the firm navigate sensitive situations while protecting and strengthening its brand

 

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of corporate marketing/communications experience
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Financial Services experience is required
