About the Opportunity
Our client, an established, physician-led multi-specialty practice in Northern New Jersey, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing Gastroenterology team. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced APPs and newer graduates looking to build a career in Gastroenterology. The practice offers comprehensive training, supportive physician mentorship, and a well-structured outpatient environment that allows providers to develop their skills while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Providers enjoy access to a robust referral network, dedicated support staff, and modern clinical resources across several conveniently located offices.
The annual base salary range is $120,000 to $140,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide follow-up care
- Review laboratory results, imaging studies, and diagnostic testing
- Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, nutrition, and disease prevention
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in occasional inpatient rounding as needed
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on quality outcomes
Job Requirements
- Active New Jersey Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license (or eligibility)
- Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Outpatient clinical experience preferred
- New graduates with strong interest in Gastroenterology are encouraged to apply
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Job Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Daytime hours only
- Typical schedules include 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Approximately one Sunday per month for limited inpatient rounding
- No routine weekday call responsibilities
