About the Opportunity
Our client, a respected and growth-focused organization in New York City, is seeking a collaborative and insightful Human Resources Business Partner to join their dedicated HR team. This individual will play a central role in supporting Clinical, Laboratory, and Operations leaders, delivering strategic guidance that elevates business outcomes and workforce effectiveness.
The Human Resources Business Partner will provide counsel on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and team development. This partner will champion effective change management, help leaders execute clear communication and transition plans, and identify trends or operational risks, recommending solutions that drive process improvement. The ideal candidate excels at building trust at all levels and acts as a valued advisor, nurturing a positive, people-centered workplace culture that supports both organizational and employee success.
The annual base salary range is $90,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and team development
- Partner with Clinical, Laboratory, and Operations leaders to implement people strategies that support business goals and workforce effectiveness
- Lead and manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and performance-related issues
- Coach managers on performance conversations, feedback delivery, documentation, and leadership best practices
- Support change management efforts by helping leaders execute communication and transition plans
- Ensure compliance with company policies, HR procedures, and employment laws across supported teams
- Identify workforce trends, operational risks, and process improvement opportunities, recommending and implementing practical solutions
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, promoting a positive, people-centered workplace culture
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of HR experience, including employee relations and support of operational teams
- Experience in an HR Business Partner or similar advisory role preferred
- Strong ability to build trust, influence leaders and employees, and provide effective coaching
