About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading financial services firm, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join their team in New York City. This professional will play an essential role in processing and validating payroll across multiple countries, ensuring alignment with local regulations and company policies.
The Payroll Analyst will manage compliance with tax, labor, and statutory payroll requirements. Key responsibilities include reconciling payroll data, investigating discrepancies, and partnering with HR, Finance, and third-party payroll providers to resolve payroll-related issues. The role also involves supporting payroll audits, preparing reports, handling month-end activities, and recommending process improvements to strengthen payroll controls.
This position follows a hybrid schedule.
The annual base salary range is $125,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Process and validate payroll for multiple countries in accordance with local regulations and company policies
- Ensure compliance with tax, labor, and statutory payroll requirements
- Reconcile payroll data and investigate payroll discrepancies
- Partner with HR, Finance, and third-party payroll providers to resolve payroll-related issues
- Support payroll audits, reporting, and month-end activities
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and controls
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
- 5+ years of global payroll experience, preferably within the financial services industry
- Knowledge of international payroll regulations, taxes, and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to manage confidential information
