About the Opportunity
Our client is a publicly-traded mortgage REIT that is looking for a Senior Treasury Associate/Treasury Manager to join their team in New York City. The firm has been growing very quickly – about $7B in equity currently – while owning 8 subsidiary companies & 13 joint ventures across the US. They also just made a huge acquisition of another large asset manager, and will continue to grow. This is a high-visibility role with a lot of opportunity for advancement. This role will have direct exposure to traders and the front office team, and will focus on cash forecasting, liquidity management, wire transfers, payment processing, reconciliations, and treasury management systems.
The annual base salary range is $120,000 to $145,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily wire transfers and aid in overseeing intra-company cash flow
- Collaborate with the Treasury and FP&A Director to grasp Free Cash Flow dynamics and compile liquidity assessments
- Conduct daily scrutiny and upkeep of cash records and account reconciliations
- Assist in managing user permissions for both banking portals and the Treasury Management System, Kyriba
- Partner with the Treasury Operations team to comprehend forthcoming settlements and ensure sufficient cash reserves for funding
- Provide support to the accounting department by helping categorize incoming and outgoing funds for accurate General Ledger allocation
- Investigate and resolve any failed payment issues. Calculate and execute pair-off/wire amounts relevant to repo transactions
- Interact with Internal and External Auditors to furnish necessary assistance for SOX compliance
Job Requirements
- 5-8 years of treasury experience in the financial service space (funds, asset management firms, insurance, banking, etc.)
- Must be open to going into the office full time
- Management experience is not required but a plus
