About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position as a Registered Respiratory Therapist involves providing specialized care and conducting diagnostic tests for pediatric patients, including those in the NICU, PICU, and general pediatrics. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, offering emergency care, and working with vented patients in settings such as the ED. Rotating 12-hour shifts include every other weekend and holidays, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $55.00 to $65.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic tests and create effective treatment plans.
- Provide emergency care to pediatric patients when required.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in nutrition, nursing, and radiology to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately and efficiently.
- Stay informed on advancements in pediatric respiratory care and therapy.
Job Requirements:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- PALS, NRP, and BLS certifications required.
- Minimum of 3 years of pediatric experience, including work with vented patients.
- Experience in NICU, PICU, and general pediatric care environments.
- Active Virginia RT license required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
