About the Opportunity:
The position of Sterile Processing Technician involves ensuring the proper sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Responsibilities include adhering to the AAMI ST79 standards and managing daily tray volumes ranging from 500 to 600. This is a full-time contract position with shifts from 11 pm to 7:30 am, Monday through Friday. The estimated base pay for these positions is $27.50 to $32.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with AAMI ST79 standards.
- Manage and process high daily tray volumes of 500-600.
- Operate and maintain equipment including Steris Sterilizers, VPRO, and Medivator.
- Monitor and document sterilization processes and equipment status.
Job Requirements:
- Certification from CBSPD or IAHCSMM.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute hospital or ambulatory surgery center setting.
- Experience in Orthopedics, Robotics, Neuro, Endoscopy, and Spine.
- Familiarity with SPM tracking and VPRO required.
- Flu vaccines required without exemptions.
