About the Opportunity:
This Ultrasound Technician position focuses on conducting diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology to assist in patient care and diagnosis. The role requires collaboration with healthcare professionals to perform ultrasounds as ordered by physicians. This is a full-time contract position covering the hours from 11 pm to 7 am, with alternating Saturday shifts and potential weekend or holiday coverage.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $50.60 to $59.80 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic ultrasound procedures and assessments to create accurate images for physician evaluation.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretations of ultrasound results.
- Monitor and document patient progress, maintaining current and accurate medical records.
- Provide patient education related to ultrasound imaging procedures and what to expect during the process.
- Stay informed on the latest ultrasound technologies and diagnostic innovations.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Graduate of a one-year approved ultrasound program is required.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Sonography), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer, Cardiovascular Credentialing International is required.
- Preferred minimum of three years of experience in ultrasound.
- Proficiency in using the Epic charting system is desired.
- Legal eligibility to work must be maintained throughout the assignment.
