About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Medical Assistant, providing essential care services to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. This full-time contract position involves interacting with patients daily, managing appointments, and assisting healthcare providers with clinical duties. Fluency in Mandarin, Korean, or Spanish is essential to effectively communicate with our diverse patient base. The role is based in Flushing, NY, and operates weekdays from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with a 45-minute unpaid lunch break.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $26.95 to $31.85 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient assessments and documenting medical history.
- Assisting with routine procedures such as blood draws and EKGs.
- Coordinating with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Preparing examination rooms and maintaining cleanliness.
- Educating patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- BLS certification (required).
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program (required).
- Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA-CMA, AMT-RMA) preferred.
- One or more years of experience as a Medical Assistant (preferred).
- Experience with EPIC charting system (preferred).
- Fluency in Mandarin, Korean, or Spanish.
