About the Opportunity:
This part-time contract position involves working collaboratively with dentists to meet the oral health needs of patients. The Dental Hygienist provides high-quality patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. Responsibilities include performing a variety of clinical duties essential to dental office operations, all requiring an exceptional level of customer service skills and commitment to collaborating with patients, dentists, dental assistants, and other dental team members.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $41.25 to $48.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment.
- Provide oral hygiene treatment and education according to state-approved guidelines.
- Apply fluoride and protective sealants; remove calculus, stain, and plaque.
- Offer nutritional counseling and self-care programs for disease prevention.
- Record and review patient medical histories.
- Uphold office policies, including HIPAA & OSHA regulations.
- Contribute to team efforts as needed.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels as needed.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene school.
- One year of hands-on experience as a hygienist.
- Experience operating GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Current state-issued Dental Hygiene license.
- CPR certification.
- X-ray training or certification.
