About the Opportunity:
The RN, OR position involves providing comprehensive care to patients in the operating room at Mission Bay. This includes monitoring patient conditions, assisting with surgical procedures, and ensuring a sterile environment. This is a full-time contract position requiring the ability to float to other facilities as needed.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for surgical patients.
- Provide intraoperative nursing care and support.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Monitor and document patient progress during and after surgery.
- Stay informed about advancements in surgical procedures and technologies.
Job Requirements:
- Current CA RN license.
- BSN degree.
- AHA BLS certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in OR settings with significant pediatric skillset.
- Preferred experience in CNOR, general surgery, ortho, neuro, and proficiency in laparoscopic surgery and scrubbing surgical procedures.
- Experience with the Epic charting system preferred.
- Teaching hospital experience.
