About the Opportunity:
This is a full-time contract RN position in the Emergency Department. The role includes providing quality patient care, assessing patient needs, and ensuring safety in clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects. Responsibilities include intervening in life-threatening situations and collaborating effectively with team members. Familiarity with nursing principles and effective assessment of patient requirements are essential.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $53.71 to $63.47 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient assessments and creating care plans.
- Providing acute care and education to patients.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress accurately.
- Staying informed on critical care research and practices.
Job Requirements:
- Current NYS RN license.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Experience with MEDITECH and travel nursing.
- Critical care and charge experience preferred.
- Able to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Completion of a lethal dysrhythmia exam and defibrillation certification.
- IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation.
