About the Opportunity:
The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Operating Room provides high-quality care to adult patients undergoing a wide range of cardiac procedures, including CABGs, TAVIs, heart failure management, and heart transplants. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, this role requires the ability to independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases. This is a full-time contract position with 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $59.40 to $70.20 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans for cardiac surgery patients.
- Provide perioperative care, including scrubbing and circulating for complex cardiac procedures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress during and after surgery.
- Stay informed on the latest advancements in cardiac surgical techniques.
Job Requirements:
- RN License (NY License ONLY).
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
- ACLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Minimum two years of experience in an operating room setting.
- Preferred experience in a level 1 trauma center.
- Ability to circulate and scrub for adult cardiac cases.
