About the Opportunity:
This role involves providing emergency care and services in the Emergency Department. It is a full-time contract position. The responsibilities include care for patients with common diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Working with specialty equipment like the rapid infusor and Arctic Sun is required, as well as attending to a diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.43 to $60.78 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and creating care plans for emergency patients.
- Providing life-saving interventions and stabilizing patients.
- Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Monitoring and documenting the progress and response of patients.
- Staying informed on recent advancements in emergency and trauma care practices.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
- Active NY RN License, verified through NURSYS Report.
- At least 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting with some pediatric experience.
- EMR experience required: EPIC.
- Preferred experience with charge responsibilities and floating as needed.
