About the Opportunity:
This role involves providing specialized vascular surgery care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include assisting in the operating room as a first assistant and supporting various in-clinic procedures. This is a full-time contract position requiring flexibility with call shifts, which can be 10-hour or 24-hour periods, with coverage needed six times per month.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $869.44 to $1027.52 per day. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for vascular surgery patients.
- Provide first assist services in the operating room.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Assist with in-clinic procedures and patient management.
- Document patient progress accurately using EPIC EMR system.
Job Requirements:
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience as a first, second, or third assist in general surgery and surgical sub-specialties.
- Possession of an Oregon state license preferred.
- Demonstrated competency through case logs of surgical cases over the past 24 months.
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system.
