About the Opportunity:
This physician assistant position in vascular surgery focuses on both inpatient and outpatient care. Responsibilities include first assisting in the operating room and assisting with clinic procedures. This is a full-time contract position with a mix of 10-hour call shifts and possible 24-hour call shifts. Candidates coordinate care with an MD/DO team and engage in handoff and rounding duties at shift start.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $869.44 to $1027.52 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct specific assessments and create care plans for vascular patients.
- Provide assistance in both surgical and clinical settings, including the first assist in OR.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Stay informed on current practices in vascular and endovascular care.
Job Requirements:
- Certification as a Physician Assistant with a current license; preference for OR licensed candidates.
- Minimum two years of experience in vascular surgery or a related field.
- Documentation of recent clinical activity and surgical case logs from the past 24 months.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience with EPIC charting system.
