Hospice Quality Nurse (RN) – Performance Improvement

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Hospice RN interested in transitioning into a Quality and Performance Improvement role. This position focuses on improving patient safety, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance across hospice services, while drawing on strong clinical judgment and hospice experience. This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy improving systems of care and supporting clinical teams through data-driven quality initiatives. This is an onsite position in the Bronx, NY.

The annual base salary range is $115,000 to $140,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead quality assurance, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives across hospice services
  • Investigate incidents and safety events, including leading root cause analyses and follow-up actions
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs
  • Prepare quality reports and data summaries for leadership and Quality Outcomes Committee meetings
  • Oversee data collection, chart review, abstraction, and reporting activities
  • Provide education and training related to quality, patient safety, and performance improvement

 

Job Requirements

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required
  • Hospice or palliative care experience required
  • Interested in or has an understanding of quality metrics, data analysis, and reporting
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of infection control and patient safety standards
