About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position as an RN in the Intensive Medical Care Unit involves managing shift responsibilities for patient care assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role entails upholding the hospital mission and standards, fostering a patient-focused environment, and ensuring regulatory compliance and collaboration among healthcare team members.
The estimated base pay for this position is $66.00 to $78.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains current knowledge of and ensures compliance with regulatory and professional standards of care.
- Develops and implements quality/performance improvement programs.
- Monitors personnel, supply, and equipment budgets.
- Establishes nursing care standards and evaluates staff compliance.
- Participates in planning processes for the unit and service.
- Educates and evaluates staff on departmental procedures and systems.
Job Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Nursing is required.
- Minimum of three years of nursing experience, including supervisory roles.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
