About the Opportunity:

This RN position involves utilizing the nursing process to deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced environment. The RN is responsible for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating all care provided to assigned patients according to professional standards and hospital policies. Duties include diagnosing and treating human responses to health issues through case finding, health teaching, and supportive care, as well as supervising patient care by other nursing personnel. This is a full-time contract position.

The estimated base pay for these positions is $56.10 to $66.30 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop comprehensive care plans including physical needs, patient teaching, and discharge planning.
  • Provide direct patient care based on assessed needs and medical regimen.
  • Supervise care provided by other nursing personnel as defined in the scope of practice.
  • Observe, evaluate, document, and communicate the patient's response to illness and therapeutic modalities.
  • Coordinate the overall plan of care to ensure nursing interventions align with the medical regimen.
  • Establish priorities for care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in QI activities related to patient care delivery.
  • Participate in the orientation of nursing staff and serve as a clinical resource for student nurses.
  • Assume charge responsibilities and ensure coverage of all patients by assisting coworkers.
  • Participate in meetings, committees, research, and pilot projects.

Job Requirements:

  • BSN.
  • Three to five years of experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center.
  • Competence in CRRT machine operation, vent/tracheostomy and gastrostomy tubes, medication titration, and A-lines.
  • TCAR, BLS, ACLS, PALS, AHA Stroke certification.
  • Preferred: CRRT, CCRN, TCRN certifications.
