About the Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team in a part-time contract position. The role involves performing MRI scans efficiently, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and coordinating with physicians to deliver diagnostic imaging results promptly.
The job covers weekend days from 7:00am-7:30pm on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Holiday shifts, on-call duties, and callbacks are part of the requirements per unit needs.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
- Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
- Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information.
- Perform patient care tasks as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Two (2) years of experience in a relevant setting.
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY).
- MUST HAVE GE SCANNER EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED.
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
- Certification through the ARRT.
- MUST HAVE INJECTION CERTIFICATION TO BE CONSIDERED.
- NYS Rad Tech license – must be willing to obtain this after starting.
