About the Opportunity:
A Phlebotomist position is now open at a hospital in Patchogue, NY. The main responsibilities include obtaining blood samples, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining accurate records in the laboratory. This contract, full-time position requires working the day shift from 3PM to 11:30PM with flexibility and alternating weekends.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $24.20 to $28.60 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting blood draws and related assessments.
- Assisting with sample labeling and processing.
- Collaborating with healthcare staff to ensure timely processing of samples.
- Monitoring and documenting procedures and outcomes.
- Staying informed on laboratory and phlebotomy best practices.
Job Requirements:
- Phlebotomy certification.
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient experience.
- Preferred experience with EPIC is beneficial.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
