About the Opportunity:
This contract position for a Medical Assistant involves providing support in Cardiology, Primary care, and Family medicine practices. This role requires conducting assessments, obtaining vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations. The Medical Assistant ensures smooth clinic operations through scheduling, supply ordering, and maintaining accurate medical records. Language proficiency in Russian/English or Spanish/English is mandatory. The position is full-time, operating Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $26.95 to $31.85 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient assessments, obtaining vital signs, and assisting with cardiac care.
- Providing support for medical procedures, including 12-lead EKGs, and preparing aseptic trays.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress, compiling medical histories, and updating records.
- Staying informed on best practices in family medicine and cardiology care.
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED (required).
- BLS certification (required).
- Medical Assistant certification (preferred).
- At least one year of experience in Cardiology, Primary care, or Family medicine as a Medical Assistant (preferred).
- Fluency in Russian/English or Spanish/English is required.
- Experience with EPIC charting system (preferred).
