About the Opportunity:
We offer an exciting opportunity for a skilled Mammo Tech to join our healthcare team at a facility located in Cortlandt Manor, NY. This contract position focuses on providing both screening and diagnostic mammography services to ensure high-quality patient care. The role involves working Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. It spans a 17-week assignment covering a full-time employee leave of absence.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $52.25 to $61.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting screening and diagnostic mammograms, including 3-D Mammography and Hologic Affirm BX procedures.
- Providing diagnostic imaging services while adhering to isolation precautions and PPE requirements.
- Collaborating with radiology professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure quality assurance.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress throughout imaging procedures.
- Staying informed on advancements in mammography equipment and procedures, ensuring best practices in patient care.
Job Requirements:
- Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) certification.
- Graduate of a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) accredited educational program or equivalent (required).
- Radiologic licensure by New York State Department of Health (required).
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.T.) in mammography (strongly preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience in screening and diagnostic mammography.
- Preferred experience with EPIC charting system.
- Key skills required: proficiency in digital mammography, communication, and organization.
