About the Opportunity:
This role involves providing specialized care to patients in a Med Surg unit at a healthcare facility in Utica, NY. It is a full-time contract position. Responsibilities include delivering patient-centered care to individuals with conditions such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fracture, back pain, and those undergoing post-surgical recovery, including bariatric surgery. This role requires the use of specialized equipment such as IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $48.34 to $57.13 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and creating individualized care plans.
- Providing post-surgical care and administering necessary treatments.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals such as doctors and physical therapists to coordinate care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and condition changes.
- Staying informed on medical advances in surgical care and recovery processes.
Job Requirements:
- Current RN license with active status in New York and other states as per NURSYS verification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med Surg setting.
- Travel experience in a similar role.
- Up-to-date AHA BLS certification.
- Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records system.
- Completed skills checklist matching Med Surg specialty.
