About the Opportunity:
The role involves providing emergency care services to patients in a fast-paced environment. As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, handle common diagnoses such as Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, and Respiratory Failure. This full-time contract position requires experience with specialty equipment such as the Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun. Work with an array of patients, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, across a 64-bed unit.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.43 to $60.78 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for emergency situations.
- Administer required drips and medications, including Pressors, Vasodilators, and Sedation agents.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitor and document patient progress efficiently.
- Stay informed on the latest emergency care practices and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.
- 3+ years of experience in Emergency Department settings, including some pediatric experience.
- Travel experience is required.
- Active NY License as verified by a NURSYS Report.
- Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
- TNCC certification is required.
- Possession of skills checklist matching specialty and a valid driver's license.
- Charge capability is highly preferred.
