About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position provides specialized care to patients in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include managing medical emergencies and providing care for patients with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Care is provided for a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.43 to $60.78 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and creating individualized care plans.
- Providing emergency care and life-support measures.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and response to treatments.
- Staying informed on advancements in emergency medicine and patient care practices.
Job Requirements:
- Active NY RN license and all RN licenses verified by NURSYS Report.
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department with pediatric experience.
- Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
- Charge capability highly preferred.
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
