About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position offers an opportunity to provide critical care to patients in a dynamic emergency department setting. An RN in this role delivers care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients. Responsibilities include working with cases such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.43 to $60.78 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for emergency department patients.
- Administer therapies and treatments for acute and critical conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
- Stay informed on the latest emergency and critical care practices.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
- Active New York RN license verified through NURSYS.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an emergency department setting with pediatric experience.
- Travel nursing experience required.
- Experience working with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
- TNCC certification in hand.
- Charge capability is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
