About the Opportunity:
A non-clinical – Health and Information Management, Patient Registrar position is available in Cortlandt Manor, NY. This full-time contract position focuses on managing patient information and registration tasks. The position operates Monday through Friday, either from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., depending on departmental needs, over a 22-week assignment.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $20.08 to $23.73 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient registration and managing health information data entry tasks.
- Providing customer service assistance via telephone.
- Collaborating with other administrative staff to ensure efficient operation of the front desk.
- Monitoring and documenting patient information accurately within the system.
- Staying informed on general health insurance benefits and requirements.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (required); some college preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of clerical experience required; 5+ years strongly preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
- Experience with EPIC systems is advantageous.
- Strong data entry skills of 4500 keystrokes required.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as keyboard and computer skills, required.
