About the Opportunity
We are partnered with a growing biopharmaceutical organization seeking a Director, Regional Sales to drive regional performance by executing national strategies at the field level, developing team capabilities, and building strong relationships with customers and key healthcare stakeholders. This is a remote position that covers the East Coast region of the United States.
This field-based leadership role calls for exceptional business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to operate effectively within a fast-evolving, data-driven, and compliance-focused environment. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in pharmaceutical sales leadership, strong coaching capabilities, and experience managing the complexities of buy-and-bill, and payer-influenced markets.
The annual base salary range is $165,000 to $220,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a regional specialty sales team to meet or exceed sales targets, market share, and strategic objectives
- Translate national brand strategy into actionable regional business plans aligned with market dynamics, customer needs, and access considerations
- Drive execution of omnichannel engagement strategies in collaboration with Marketing, Market Access, and Sales Operations
- Leverage data analytics, CRM tools, and performance dashboards to evaluate trends, uncover opportunities, and optimize execution
- Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing sales talent aligned with company values and expectations
- Deliver consistent field coaching, including ride-alongs and competency-based feedback
- Establish clear expectations, track KPIs, and hold team members accountable for performance and behaviors
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, thought leaders, and strategic accounts
- Lead complex account discussions, including product positioning and market access strategies
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Life Sciences, Marketing, or a related field preferred)
- 8+ years of pharmaceutical and/or medical device sales experience
- 5+ years of proven success in field sales leadership with demonstrated results
- This role covers the East Coast; must reside within the assigned region
