About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our client’s multidisciplinary pain management team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in pain management, with hands-on experience in trigger point injections and a working knowledge of orthopedic care. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative outpatient environment, helping patients manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain through evidence-based, minimally invasive therapies.
The annual base salary range is $115,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic pain
- Administer trigger point injections and support other interventional procedures under physician supervision
- Evaluate musculoskeletal injuries and collaborate with ortho, rehab, and physical therapy teams
- Educate patients on treatment options, medication use, and lifestyle modifications
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Collaborate with physicians and ancillary staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
Job Requirements
- Certified NP or PA with an active license in New York
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pain management or musculoskeletal medicine required
- Experience with trigger point injections is required
- Orthopedic or physiatry background strongly preferred
