About the Opportunity:
This contract opportunity for a Nuclear Medical Technician involves conducting diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine procedures for patients. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate data acquisition and maintaining safety standards for radiation protection. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $57.75 to $68.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting diagnostic nuclear medicine studies and creating detailed care plans.
- Providing therapy and education related to nuclear medicine procedures.
- Collaborating with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and care coordination.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and results of imaging tests.
- Staying informed on advances in nuclear medicine technology and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certifying Board (NMTCB).
- Licensure by the NYS Department of Health.
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program.
- Minimum one year of experience in a hospital setting.
- EPIC charting system experience preferred.
- Key skills in communication, organization, and handling radioactive materials.
