About the Opportunity:
This Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) role provides essential care in an adult outpatient clinic, focusing on patients in the heart and vascular field. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, conducting 12 lead EKG/ECG, and managing patient refill requests in a cardiology setting. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $23.65 to $27.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct specific assessments and create care plans.
- Provide therapy and patient education specific to cardiology.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitor and document patient progress in the outpatient setting.
- Stay informed on advancements and research in cardiology care.
Job Requirements:
- Certification from AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA and BLS.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in adult outpatient clinic settings.
- Experience with chart preparation and use of Epic charting system preferred.
- Skills in obtaining vital signs, follow-up phone calls, pharmacy calls, and conducting EKG/ECG procedures.
