About the Opportunity:
As a Respiratory Therapist, you provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across various age groups, including infants, adults, and pediatrics, within a short-term acute facility. This full-time contract position involves conducting respiratory assessments, developing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Experience in a major teaching and Level I trauma facility enhances your professional growth in a dynamic environment.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $45.10 to $53.30 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct respiratory assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Provide therapies including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-frequency ventilation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as the respiratory services team, to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using EPIC charting system.
- Stay informed on the latest respiratory care practices and research.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and RRT.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory care, preferably in community hospital or Level I/II trauma settings.
- Proficiency in EPIC charting is required.
- Critical care skills such as intubation assist and high-flow nasal cannula utilization.
- Preferred experience in NICU and emergency department settings.
