About the Opportunity:
Join our dynamic dental practice as a Dental Hygienist. This full-time contract position involves supporting the office and assisting professional dental staff with patient treatment. The role emphasizes preventive oral health care and provides exceptional care in a supportive, friendly environment with opportunities for professional growth.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $24.75 to $29.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization.
- Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress.
- Update patient health history and chart treatment progress.
- Expose and develop radiographs (if certified).
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
- Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems.
- Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA.
Job Requirements:
- Prior dental assisting experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort.
- High school diploma or GED.
- BLS certification.
- X-ray training or certification.
- Associate's Degree or certification in Dental Assisting (preferred but not required).
- Certified Dental Assistant (preferred).
