About the Opportunity:
This contract position provides gastroenterology services, including both inpatient and outpatient care at a medical center with 251 beds. Responsibilities include conducting rounding admissions and procedures, performing required procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD, flex sig, and dilation, and managing general GI procedures. Support is available from other GIs within the practice. An estimated 16 patients per day are seen in the clinic, with 14-16 seen at the outpatient endoscopy center. Hospital census varies.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $3078.57 to $3638.31 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Perform procedures such as colonoscopies and dilations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using EPIC EMR.
- Stay informed on current gastroenterology practices and research.
Job Requirements:
- MD/DO with Washington License or IMLC.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- EPIC proficiency.
- Documentation of provision of gastroenterology services in the last 24 months.
- Clinical competence in procedures such as double balloon enteroscopy, if applicable.
