About the Opportunity:
This contract position offers physicians the chance to join a Float Pool providing gastroenterology care to patients within a hospital setting. The role involves working with support staff, including 9 APPs, and several RNs, LPNs, and MAs across three GI locations. Physicians work on a 7 on and 7 off basis, or in some cases, two weeks consecutively, with 8-hour shifts and call-back coverage primarily for daytime hours with potential night call coverage. Patient ages typically range from 18 and above, with an average patient age of 58.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $371.25 to $438.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and creating care plans for gastroenterology patients.
- Providing specialized therapies relevant to gastroenterology needs.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals, including APPs, RNs, LPNs, and MAs to coordinate patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress within the Cerner EMR system.
- Staying informed on the latest practices and research in gastroenterology.
Job Requirements:
- Board Certification in relevant field required.
- Valid state license required, with consideration for IMLC candidates or those eligible for WV temporary license.
- DEA certification required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Open to various levels of minimum experience.
